Your MLS and our web solutions team plan solutions that
attract more publicity to the listing data and realtors in your
area. Now, you have the ability to showcase your local MLS listings
globally through a public website from NREE. You never have
to worry about updating listing data, displays, or photos because
your site is updated automatically. The most accurate listing
information available can now be provided through your MLS public
website.
IDX Information
IDX stands for Internet Data Exchange. IDX provides all
brokers within an individual MLS permission to advertise each
other's listings on each other's websites. A broker simply decides
whether to opt-in to IDX or opt-out of IDX.
If a broker is opted-in to IDX, they have given permission
to all other opted-in brokers, and the agents of those brokers
if the MLS allows agent IDX websites (check your individual
MLS rules), permission to show their listings on the other
opted-in broker's websites. The opted-in broker also receives
permission from all other opted-in brokers to show those broker's
listings on his/her website as well.
If a broker opts-out, they simply have no permissions from
any other brokers to advertise listing data other than their
own listings on their website, and/or the websites of the
agents within that office. In short, they can only advertise
their own listings on their website, and no other broker will
be advertising these listings on office or agent websites
either (which greatly reduces the amount of exposure those
listings get through the Internet). |
